Riding with NamCab
How do I pay for a ride?
Rides are paid in cash directly to your driver at the end of the trip. You see the fare estimate before you book, so there are no surprises when you arrive.
Where does NamCab operate?
We are starting in Windhoek and the surrounding areas, with more Namibian towns on the way. Open the app to see live coverage where you are.
How is the fare calculated?
Fares combine a base fare with the distance and time of your trip, and we show you the estimate upfront before you confirm. The final fare is capped so it can never run far beyond the estimate.
Can I schedule a ride in advance?
Yes — choose a pickup time when you book and your driver will be assigned ahead of your trip.
Can NamCab deliver parcels?
Yes. Use the delivery option in the app to send parcels across town with the same verified drivers.
Safety
How are drivers verified?
Every driver partner submits a selfie, a live verification video, their driver’s licence, and vehicle papers. Our team reviews each application before a driver can accept a single ride.
What safety features are in the app?
Live GPS trip tracking you can share with family, driver ratings after every trip, and an in-app emergency button.
Rewards
How do I earn points?
Every completed ride earns you points automatically — there is nothing to activate or scan. Your points balance lives in the app, and your tier determines how quickly it grows.
How do points become credit?
Once you have earned enough points, they convert to wallet credit in NAD. That credit is applied to your next fare automatically — you pay the driver the reduced amount in cash, and the driver simply collects less.
How do referrals work?
Share your invite code from the app. When a friend signs up with it and completes their first ride, you both receive NAD credit in your wallets — it works both ways, every time.
How do the Bronze, Silver, and Gold tiers work?
Your tier is based on how many rides you have completed in the last 90 days. The more you ride, the higher your tier — and higher tiers earn points at a faster multiplier on every trip. Ride less for a while and your tier adjusts back down.

How do I become a driver partner?
Download the NamCab Partner app, sign up with your phone number, and complete the in-app verification — selfie, licence, vehicle papers, and bank details. Most applications are reviewed within 24–48 hours. See the full checklist on our Drive with Us page.
How much do drivers earn?
Driver partners keep 75% of every fare. Since rides are paid in cash, you hold your earnings immediately; the platform commission is settled from your weekly statement.
Do I need my own car?
You need access to a registered, roadworthy vehicle — your own or one you are authorised to drive. Premium class requires a luxury-brand vehicle from 2018 or newer.
Are there minimum hours?
No. Go online whenever you want to earn and offline whenever life needs you elsewhere.
